Do gentlemen prefer blondes?

I was flipping channels this morning and noticed the Marilyn Monroe movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes on and it got me thinking ... does that still hold true today?  Are blondes more popular than their brunette counterparts?

With the help of Fame Registry, a site who tracks the popularity of porn stars, I think we can figure this out.

I've taken a list of the the most popular porn stars and I'll break them down into blonde or brunette.  While I realize that chicks tend to change the color of their hair so if in that case, I went with the color of hair that the performer in question is most often.

So out of the top 30 porn stars 14 were brunette, 1 red head and 15 were blondes. So it seems blondes really do have more fun.

So who is the most popular porn star on Twitter? Well according to Fame Registry the answer that question seems to be none other than Bree Olson. Yes the same Bree Olson of Charlie Sheen fame. At the time of this posting (March 3, 2011) she had 138,283 followers with Sasha Grey of Entourage game coming in at a close second with 121,416 followers.
